Digital trigger
Different from analog trigger, DC and AC power supply digital trigger data directly using ADC sampling data. Therefore, the sampling and triggering units process the same data. Digital trigger technology uses digital signal processing method for trigger comparison and position determination, which can accurately capture trigger events and output fine trigger positions. Here are some common digital trigger techniques.

Edge trigger
Edge trigger refers to the trigger when the trigger unit detects a jumping edge (rising edge, falling edge, any edge). Edge trigger is the most common, practical and simple trigger type in oscilloscope trigger function.
Fine trigger
When the number of sampling points is less than the number of pixels on the screen, the original data needs to be interpolated. In order to find the trigger position at the interpolation point more accurately, DC and AC power sources need to compare the threshold and process the trigger position of the interpolated data. This process is called fine triggering.
Bus trigger/protocol trigger
When we use DC and AC power oscilloscopes to measure bus and protocol signals, if we use software to decode and analyze the data, many triggering events will be lost due to non-real-time operation of the software. Protocol triggering is real-time processing using hardware /FPGA. The trigger system decodes and parses real-time data and triggers protocol-related data and functions. Common RS232, I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, I2S bus, etc.
Regional trigger
Region trigger, also known as template trigger, compares and judges the collected data according to the general trigger function to determine whether the DC power supply, AC power supply waveform and the detection area meet the "intersection" or "disjoint" condition. The waveform will be displayed on the screen only when the judgment condition is met. Region triggering can achieve more intuitive trigger types and improve the probability of capturing trigger events.
