Common faults of the programmable DC power upper computer

The programmable DC power supply has three programming functions, step and gradient, which can be applied to a variety of test requirements. However, some engineers are used to using PC software, or some special testing requirements require a connection to the PC. Most upper computers are made by other manufacturers or preferred by engineers themselves and are not necessarily fully compatible with programmable DC power. When the PC software of the programmable DC power supply is abnormal, the PC automatically reports errors, such as invalid functions, data addresses, and data values. We need to know what these errors refer to in order to adjust the adjustability of the upper computer and the programmable DC power supply for more accurate and convenient testing.

01, server (or server) illegal function, not allowed in the query received function code. This may be because the feature code is only applicable to new devices and cannot be implemented in the selected cell. It is also indicated that the server (or slave) processes the request in an error state, for example, because it is unconfigured and needs to return a register value.
02. Illegal Data address The data address received in the query is an unacceptable address for the server (or from the server). In particular, the combination of reference number and transmission length is invalid. For a controller with a 100 register, a request with offset 96 and length 4 will succeed, and a request with offset 96 and length 5 will produce exception code 02.
03, Illegal data value For the server (or from the server), the query contains an unacceptable value. This value indicates a fault with the rest of the structure of the composite request, for example, the implied length is incorrect. This does not mean that the data item submitted for storage in the register has a value other than that expected by the application because the upper computer protocol does not know the importance of any particular value in any particular register.
04. Slave Station Equipment failure An unrecoverable error occurs when the server (or slave station) attempts to perform the requested operation.
05. Confirm use with programming commands. The server (or slave server) has accepted the request and is processing it, but these actions take a long time. This response is returned to prevent timeout errors in the client (or host). The client (or host) can continue to send the polling program completion message to determine if the processing is complete.
06. The slave device is busy with programming commands. The server (or slave) is processing a long time program command. When the server (or slave server) is idle, the user (or master server) should resend the message later.
