When wires are bound with waxed wires, the originally flat bundle of wires changes shape and becomes three-dimensional as the binding process progresses. Because the waxing line was flammable, it was later changed to using kite string without waxing, but the waxing line was much more convenient to operate than kite string and the finished product was beautiful. This may be because ancient craftsmen believed that waxing was the best method based on actual working experience. From that point of view, it's a pity. Now, it has been changed to flame-retardant SK cable ties as kite string is also considered flammable. However, SK cables can be partially protruding, difficult to route nicely along the rack, and do not look smart. I hope there will be new materials like waxing thread.
